Vivront Featured on FOX9’s TasteBuds with Stephanie Hansen
Minnesota knife-care brand shares kitchen-confidence philosophy as TasteBuds expands nationwide
Edina, MN — November 2025
Vivront, the Edina-based knife shop and sharpening brand behind Sharpow Kits, was recently featured on FOX9’s TasteBuds with Stephanie Hansen, as the Emmy-winning food show expands from its Twin Cities roots to kitchens across the country.
Filmed on-location at Vivront Knife Shop in Edina, the segment showcases host Stephanie Hansen learning practical knife skills and edge-care habits. From better slicing to safer prep work, the episode highlights how sharp tools support faster, more joyful cooking. The feature is part of TasteBuds’ newest season—its first to reach it's larger national audience while spotlighting regional makers and the stories behind their craft.
“Cooking can feel easy, joyful, and a little fearless,” said Joseph Rueter, founder of Vivront and Sharpow. “That confidence starts at the cutting board. We’re proud that Minnesota’s kitchen-craft culture is becoming more a part of the national conversation.”
Throughout the episode, Hansen explores Vivront’s hands-on approach to knife education and the brand’s aim to “normalize sharpening.” The feature includes an inside look at Vivront’s popular Kitchen Knife Skills 101 class, its best-selling Sharpow mail-in sharpening kit, and the tools and techniques designed for both home cooks and working line cooks and chefs.
