The question Gabe asked when designing Stando: why do kitchen tongs still feel like cooking with two giant thumbs?

Collapsible tongs rip things. They bruise things. They're imprecise in a way that's tolerable until you've held something better. Professional kitchens figured this out years ago, tweezers are the real tool. Precise, nimble, a direct extension of your fingers instead of a mechanical approximation of them.

Stando is Gestura's version of that tool, designed for both the professional pass and the home cook's dinner plate. The namesake feature is the curved stand in the middle, it gives you a wide surface area for your fingers to grip and control, and when you set it down, it stays clean. The tension between the tines is calibrated: strong enough to hold, light enough to place.

It's also a serving tool. Charcuterie boards, tinned fish, salads, anything that deserves to be handled rather than scooped, Stando handles it with the kind of care that makes a plate look like someone thought about it.
