Sharpening for Home Cooks, Without the Errand

Vivront Concierge Pickup — Home is built for busy home kitchens within 10 miles of 50th & France in Edina, Minnesota. If you cook often, use meal kits, or host, this service keeps your knives performing without a drive across town.

How It Works

1. Book online (order by 10:00AM, Weekdays)

Select the number of knives, enter your address, and complete checkout.

2. Pack your knives safely

For courier safety, knives must be wrapped and boxed:

• Wrap each knife in a cloth (usually you can wrap a few per towel), or oven mitt
• Secure with rubber bands (or similar) so blades don't slide
• Place all wrapped knives in a cardboard box (reused shipping box, shoebox or similar)
• Tape the box closed
• Add a clear label with your name, address, and phone number

3. Set the box out 

Place the box in a visible, sheltered spot at your front door. Keeping it covered but visible or elevated helps in rain or snow.

4. Pickup window: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Our courier partner will be scheduled to collect your box and bring it directly to Vivront. 

5. We sharpen 

Our sharpening team will restore your edges using our in-shop process, then repack your knives for return.

6. Return: after 2:00pm

Your sharpened knives will be delivered back to your front door in secure packaging, ready for dinner prep.

Packaging, Access & Refund Policy

This service depends on safe packaging and clear access. These guidelines protect you, couriers, and our team.

Packaging Requirements

• All blades fully wrapped (no exposed edges)
• Wrapped knives placed in a cardboard box only
• Box taped shut on all seams
• Clear exterior label with name, address, and phone number

Improper or unsafe packaging cannot be picked up.

Access Requirements

Your front door must be straightforward to reach:

• No locked lobbies or restricted entry
• No intercom-only or fob-only access
• No hidden or hard-to-see placement of the box
• No gated entry without a working code provided

Failed Pickup Policy

If pickup fails due to packaging issues, unsafe conditions in your control, inaccessible location, or a missing/not-visible box, we refund 75% of your order and retain 25% + the shipping charge to cover courier costs. You’re welcome to rebook once the issue is resolved.

Weather & Traffic Protocol

Pickup and return are weather & traffic dependent. Heavy rain, snow, ice, or high winds may push your pickup or return to the next safe window. We’ll notify you if we need to adjust timing.

• Pickup & Return delivery: $30 combined, added at checkout
• Minimum: 4 knives (canceled if order does not include 4+)
• Sharpening priced per piece
• Repairs quoted and priced separately
