Okay, this is $7.41 a pineapple. This is $4.49 a pineapple. Let's see how equal they are and how much it costs to have somebody else cut these for us.

So on a pineapple, lots of people don't like cutting them because you gotta hold all the spiky parts. But, like most things, they grow circular. You can cut the top off, you can cut the bottom off, and then clear your board with the spine to keep your edges sharper longer. And your food will sit really nicely.

Now, when well serviced, your knife can act like a serrated knife, you can kind of move it back and forth in these small slopes, or strokes.

You can move it back and forth in small strokes, or larger strokes, just to pull off the outer portion that isn't very good to eat.
