Okay, how to cut a cantaloupe. These things are wonderful. This is $4.99 a cantaloupe. This is $7.97 of cantaloupe. Let's walk through this one. Stem side, flower side - you can make yourself a flat spot and make this a whole lot easier and then work around the outside. There's a bunch of ways to do this but we'll do it this way this time.
Note if you take a standard handhold, this gets harder because you have to use your elbow and shoulder. This way you can kind of use your wrist to make a turn around the outside of your cantaloupe.
And the corners can be a little bit tricky. You can make some movements to cut around the outside here. And then there's seeds inside. One quick way to do that, just on your flat here, just cut down the middle, open up the inside and then just scoop the seeds out.
Now these, I'm gonna cut these in quarters, and then cut those in halves, and then I've learned to kind of move from the outside in so that it will fall down into the board as you're cutting. Let's see how much more we get, this would be easier if this [kitchen] knife was just a little longer. You can also set it to the side like this one landed, but the food pop up on the blade more. You cut it that way.
Let's see, where were we at? We're at $4. Yeah, that's the preferred way to do this. $4.99. At this time of the season.
Let's see what we get out of this one. Again, if this [kitchen] knife was a little longer. Once in the center so it falls. Let's see, there we go.
This is $4.99 of cantaloupe, and this is $7.97 cents a cantaloupe.
