Vivront is welcoming Mareko Maumasi, from Maumasi Fire Arts to the shop for an evening of conversation, craft, and community.
Mareko is one of the most respected knifemakers working today. He got his start in professional kitchens and eventually made the move to the forge, where he now creates some of the most sought-after custom culinary knives in the world. He’s a two-time Forged in Fire competitor and a leader in the world of pattern-welded steel.
The evening will feature a live conversation between Mareko and Vivront founder Joseph, covering Mareko’s journey, a peek inside the custom knife making world, how he approaches his work, some tips on knife care and what he’s exploring next.
Guests will also experience a time for questions, mingling, and light refreshments.
