Yoshimi Kato, a blacksmith from the esteemed Takefu Village Knife Co-Operative in Echizen, is renowned for his masterful craftsmanship. He combines ancient knife-making methods with modern techniques to create highly unique pieces, a testament to his dedication, enthusiasm, and steadfast commitment to excellence.

Bunka knives are a time-honored Japanese blade, designed for multi-purpose use both as a vegetable knife and a slicer. The sword shape gives them a wider and straighter edge than Yanagi types for chopping vegetables, and a longer blade than Usuba for effortless slicing of fish.

SG2 as the Core with a Stainless Steel San Mai construction makes up this blade with a Unique Circle engraved pattern.  SG2 is a premium Stainless Steel made using Powder Metallurgy.
