Stay Sharp, Without Learning to Sharpen
The 45-minute class that makes your knives work better, longer—and with zero sharpening stones required. Kitchen knife maintenance for everyone.
Class Overview:
Most people think they need to sharpen their knives all the time.
The truth? You probably just need to learn how to care for the edge that’s already there.
8 Students, for 50 minutes + shopping after class.
In this fast, friendly Saturday session, you’ll learn how to keep your knives feeling sharp with tools you’ll actually use—like honing rods, leather strops, and our Vivront-designed Edge Keeper. No stones. No stress. Just sharper knives every day.
What You’ll Learn:
- What makes a knife go dull (and how to avoid it)
- Why honing is not sharpening—but also important
- How to use a honing rod and/or strop without fear or guesswork
- At least one edge-check trick you can use at home
- How to build a low-effort, high-impact knife care routine
You’ll leave knowing what to do to make your sharp edges last way longer—whether you’re using a $40 chef’s knife or a $400 Japanese gyuto.
Try Our Tools—Find Your Match:
Use our in-shop collection of ceramic hones, leather strops, and Vivront favorites. Compare them side-by-side. Ask questions. Find your perfect fit.
Love it? Take it home. All class tools will be available for purchase—with an in-class exclusive discount.
Bonus:
Bring a knife with you—we’ll check its edge and show you how to bring it back to life if it's not too far gone.
Who This Is For:
