The Ready Series by Running Man Forge × Vivront

The Ready Series is a collaboration between Vivront and Running Man Forge, built for cooks who take preparation and performance seriously. Each knife is forged near Travis Air Force Base in California from AEB-L stainless steel, finished in Kurouchi and Tsuchime, and fitted with a full-tang Micarta handle in the Wa style.

Every blade passes a multi-point readiness inspection before it leaves the forge including: edge geometry, handle fit, balance, temper integrity, and final sharpening are all verified. These are mission-ready tools for people who cook and look to their gear to keep up

When Precision Meets Purpose

Running Man Forge is led by bladesmith Justin Stinson, who began forging at thirteen, driven by a family of makers and the pursuit of the “wholesome tool,” something honest, lasting, and alive in the hand. Every knife is handcrafted in-house, from steel work to fit and finish.

Vivront, based in Edina, Minnesota, built its reputation by sharpening, teaching, and equipping cooks who expect performance. The Ready Series brings Vivront’s readiness mindset to a line of forged knives designed to be used, maintained, and trusted for years.

Care & Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Hand wash only. Dry. Never use a dishwasher.
  • Edge Readiness: Maintain the edge with light, consistent passes on a hone or The Stick by Sharpow.
  • Sharpening: When the blade begins to push or drag instead of gliding, send it in for professional sharpening.
  • Storage: Store sheathed, in a block, or on a magnetic rack where the edge cannot strike other tools.
  • Environment: Avoid prolonged moisture or acidic residue on the blade. Wipe clean during heavy prep runs.
