Mak Kimchi Class (101)
120 Minutes in Wayzata
Mak (Cut) Kimchi is what most folks are familiar with, a spicy fermented cabbage dish. This kimchi approach ferments quicker than others and is more approachable for beginners.
The course will include:
- An intro to lacto-fermentation and why it's delicious
- Knife skills for kimchi and increased safety
- Ingredients and where to find them
- Making and storing Mak Kimchi
- Kimchi to take home :)
NON VEGAN, fish and shellfish ingredients present.
You’ll use Japanese knives in class, likely the nakiri shape. Preview some of demo knives here. You can bring your own kitchen knives if you'd like. Drop 'em off for sharpening the day of the class and receive one sharpened free of charge. All will be available for pick up the next day we're open. By purchasing this class you agree to the class waiver found here.
Most important: You and your friends are going to have fun!
Class size is limited to 6 students. 120 minute duration.
Sign up closes the day before class to allow for prep.

(On the corner of Hwy 101 and Minnetonka Blvd, between the Holiday gas station and F45). Classes with fewer than 4 students enrolled will be rescheduled.
